You will have to learn to deal with discouragement, disappointment, resentment,
helplessness, hopelessness, unfairness, hunger, cravings and other negative feelings.
If you recognize any of these feelings, distract yourself by going for a short walk,
doing something you've been putting off, review your journal, review your list of
reasons you want to lose weight, talk or write to your weight loss coach or buddy
- anything you can think of. We make the most mistakes during these 20-30 minute episodes. Don't expect yourself to be positive every moment of every day. It's not an excuse to give up. If you find yourself off your plan, get back on. When? Right away, of course. If you're not making a plan, make one right away. |
