Give yourself credit for each achievement - big or small. Then reward yourself - without food - when you meet one of your small goals.
It’s so hard to keep focused on the big goals. Use smaller goals along the way to maintain motivation and recognize them as progress toward the bigger goal. You might reward yourself with a movie (no popcorn and drink though), a day at the spa, a massage, new clothes or shoes, new exercise gear, etc.

If you think about exercise more often, give yourself credit. If exercise is getting easier, give yourself credit. If you’re spending a little more time exercising, give yourself credit. If you’re running or biking a little further or a little faster, give yourself credit. If you have exercised regularly 2 weeks in a row, reward yourself. If you have stuck to your plan for 3 days, reward yourself.
