Day 18
|
|
Those calories have to go somewhere so don't ignore them! A recent study shows that
Americans drink about 450 calories per day. With non-diet soft drinks averaging
about 150 calories per 12-ounce can (most fast food drink sizes are 16- or 20-ounce
or larger), it's not hard to see how. Switching to diet or giving up soft drinks alone could reduce your calorie intake by about 20% (talk about a great start to losing weight!). It is shocking how many calories some of the coffee shop lattes and cappuccinos have (some have 700 calories or more!). Alcoholic drinks (gin, vodka, whiskey, pina coladas) can have 60 calories or more per ounce! Alcohol can be a real diet killer if you don't count those calories. |
